Pre-configured DSP defines coverage by integrating cells and modules to fit its application.","The KF913F is a dedicated high-frequency medium throw\/downfill module engineered for use with Phased Point Source Technology™ digital signal processing in the creation of PPST™ arrays. It provides coverage from 0° to -45° below the horizontal axis with flat frequency response. Usable frequency response is provided to -60° below the horizontal axis. The system comprises three cells of a specially designed 2-inch exit\/3-inch voice coil compression driver loaded on a 30° horizontal coverage SimplePhase™ horn. The compression drivers specified for the KF913F are specially engineered to accept up to 20 dB additional input at 10 kHz as part of EAWs HF pre-emphasis technique. HF pre-emphasis helps the KF913F provide high-frequency perception at distances in excess of 400 feet. Sophisticated horn-loading technology allows the KF913F to provide focused downfill coverage without breaking the bottom of the enclosure. The lowest cells high-frequency compression driver employs a near instantaneous reflection off the top of the cell to gain additional bend to reach 60° below horizontal. Because the enclosures bottom is sealed -- the downfill element can be placed at any location in the array -- not only on the bottom row.SimplePhase™ horns were specially designed to facilitate the PPST™ process. Horizontal coverage is an idealized 30° over the entire operating bandwidth. Unlike Virtual Array Technologys complex horn flares designed for control of individual drivers -- the simple lines of the SimplePhase™ horns produce phase-coherent summation with other drivers within the module.
