If you have temperature sensor leads,connect these to the instrument as well.

To calibrate, you’ll need one or twoconductivity calibration standards.

I'm swimming the sensor around the beaker

to remove and trained air bubbles andensure a proper and stable reading.

We have to wait a minute or two for the readingto stabilize, okay.

Most users will be using automatictemperature compensation during conductivity measurement

to verify that the temperature reading ofyour sample by using a thermometer in the test beaker.

I've already tested the temperature ofthese beakers and

my accuracy of temperature is well within 1degree Celsius.

If you're more than about 2 degrees Celsius,

you'll want to perform temperature recalibrationas described in your user's manual.

To perform the conductivity calibration, wepress the calibration key to enter calibration mode.

It's a good idea to check your calibrationusing a second conductivity standard.

In today's example, I have selected asecond standard

I'll be going from 731 Micro Semen into astandard that has a conductivity of 1417 Micro Siemens.

The 1417 micro semen solution has a totaldissolved solids of a thousand parts per million.

Again,stirring the solutionto provide stable readings.

Ok, my meter has stabilized by reading fourteenhundred and nineteen micro Siemens.
